Plenary sessions will use the Zoom webinar format. Talks will be recorded and made available to registered participants for a period of 2 weeks following the end of the meeting at the discretion of the speakers. Links to the Zoom webinar sessions will be communicated to registered participants at a later date.
The poster sessions will be carried out on SpatialChat, a platform that simulates live conferences. You will receive a link to be able to enter the CRISPR 2021 meeting space.
After you log in, you will find several rooms you can visit including networking space and poster rooms. Attendants will appear as a bubble that shows their position in space, and they will be able to move around the room. SpatialChat rooms feature dynamic volume. The volume at which you and other guests hear each other, changes according to your circles’ distance from each other, just like in a real room. You can move around by clicking on your circle and dragging it to any other location. You will be expected to remain close to your poster at the indicated session, as you would do in a normal meeting, so your colleagues will be able to come close to talk with you.
The recommended size for posters is 1024x768px, saved as an image (.jpeg or .png) in landscape format . Please be sure your file does not exceed 1MB in size. When visiting poster rooms, you will be able to zoom in on the poster to carefully read their content.
Once notified of your poster acceptance, please send it before May 22nd to firstname.lastname@example.org.
To get acquainted with the platform, you can test SpatialChat before the meeting..
In order to preserve the confidentiality of the proceedings of the conference, we ask that participants refrain from recording talks on their computers, taking screenshots of slides and posters, and sharing the abstract book. Posting on social media about the conference content is permitted but should not include screenshots. Recordings of talks from presenters who have granted permission will be made available to all attendees for two weeks following the close of the conference.
